About the Department

Established in 1980, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) has grown from an initial intake of 35 students to 240, reflecting its steady academic progress and reputation. The department offers B.Tech in ECE, M.Tech in Communication Systems, and Ph.D. programs supported by highly qualified faculty, modern laboratories, and advanced teaching facilities. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, research, and innovation, the department has established a Centre of Excellence in VLSI Design to promote research and technological advancements in integrated circuit design. The department has also established an Embedded Systems and IoT Innovation Hub to foster research, innovation, skill development, and industry-oriented projects in embedded systems, IoT technologies, and smart applications.

The department encourages faculty and students to actively participate in workshops, conferences, technical competitions, and research activities. Accredited five consecutive times by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the department has consistently produced university rank holders and achieved excellent results in GATE, GRE, TOEFL, and CAT examinations. Students secure placements in reputed organizations such as TCS, Infosys, IBM, Texas Instruments, BEL, ISRO, DRDO, and other leading industries, reflecting the department's commitment to quality education and professional success.
