About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), established in 1994, is a distinguished center for education, research, and innovation in electrical engineering. The department offers B.Tech in EEE and M.Tech in Power Systems and Automation, supported by experienced faculty, modern laboratories, and advanced infrastructure. Accredited three times by the NBA and recognized as a research center by Andhra University and JNTUK, the department emphasizes academic excellence and industry-oriented learning.

The department actively promotes research and skill development in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles, Automation, and Power Electronics through funded projects and industry collaborations. State-of-the-art laboratories in Solar Energy, Robotics, Smart Systems, and E-Mobility provide hands-on experience to students. Students participate in national innovation competitions and internships at reputed organizations, while graduates secure placements in leading public sector organizations, industries, and multinational companies.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is dedicated to producing competent engineers with strong technical expertise, professional ethics, and leadership qualities. The department provides a solid foundation in core areas such as Electrical Circuits, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical Machines, and Power Electronics, while promoting innovation and lifelong learning. Students gain practical exposure through modern laboratories, internships, workshops, certification courses, and project-based learning. The curriculum also covers emerging technologies including Industrial Automation, Robotics, Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Smart Grids, and Energy Storage Systems. The department encourages research, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurship to prepare students as future-ready engineers for sustainable technological development.

Four decades of excellence in electrical engineering education, research, and industry collaboration.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been accredited four times by NBA for its UG programme (2007, 2013, 2020 & 2023).
The department has been recognized as a Research Centre by JNTU Kakinada since 2017.
The department has established skill-oriented laboratories in Solar Energy Systems, Smart Systems, and Electric Vehicles.
The department is actively associated with industries through MoUs with MSME Technology Centre, BOSON Motors, HALA Mobility, Finch Power Ltd., and NRGx Renewables Pvt. Ltd.
The department operates a PMKVY 4.0 Skill Hub and has provided solar systems skill training to 60 youngsters.
The department has a strong internship ecosystem with students trained in APTRANSCO, APGENCO, Indian Railways, and other organizations.
