Research & Consultancy Overview

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering pursues active research in power systems, power electronics, renewable energy integration, electric mobility, and intelligent control. Faculty publish in reputed SCI/Scopus journals, supervise Ph.D. scholars under JNTUK, and engage with industry through consultancy assignments and MoUs with utilities, manufacturers, and research organisations such as APTRANSCO, BHEL, and CPRI.

  • Dr. G. Harish Kumar Varma is leading an ongoing 3-year project titled "Science Technology and Innovation Driven Inland Aquaculture Hub for Bhimavaram Suburbs," funded by DST SEED Division with a budget of 96.00613 Lakhs.
  • Kurella Pavan Kumar is handling an ongoing 1-year project titled "Cyber Physical Solution for Battery Swapping Station," funded by the MSME Innovation Scheme under IDEATHON-3.0 Women with a budget of ₹10,70,000.

  • Dr. G. Harish Kumar Varma managed the "Solar PV Installer-Electrical" program under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) for the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), conducted from 5-7-2023 to 23-9-2023 and 27-2-2024 to 28-4-2024, with a value of 5.43.

The department serves industries, distribution utilities, and government agencies across Andhra Pradesh, leveraging modern simulation tools and laboratory capabilities.
