The Department of Computer Science and Design combines computational rigor with user-centered design, creativity, and interactive digital product development.

Students are trained to integrate programming, design thinking, interface aesthetics, and usability principles to build meaningful technology experiences.

The program promotes hands-on creation through studio practice, prototyping, interdisciplinary projects, and innovation activities that connect technology with human needs.

By blending technical depth with creative problem-solving, the department prepares graduates for emerging roles in product engineering, UX technology, immersive media, and digital innovation.

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Design

The Department of Computer Science & Design (CSD) at SRKR Engineering College was established in 2021 to nurture a new generation of engineers who can blend rigorous computer science with creative design thinking. With an annual intake of 60 students, our B.Tech CSD programme prepares graduates for careers at the intersection of software, interaction, immersive media, and product innovation.

Where Computer Science Meets Creativity

Aligned with NEP 2020, our project-based curriculum combines core CS foundations — programming, data structures, databases, web technologies — with design-led courses in UX/UI, game development, animation, AR/VR, computer graphics, and creative coding. Students engage with industry-standard tools (Figma, Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite) and build real products, games, and interactive experiences from their first semester.

Innovation, Startups & Industry Readiness

CSD operates under the umbrella of the SRKR Technology Centre, with access to the AICTE IDEA Lab, Innovation Centre, on-campus startups, and a 400+ system computing facility. Students are mentored to launch their own ventures, intern from semester one, and graduate as designers, developers, founders, and creative technologists.
